1961 The lonosphere Research Laboratory (IRL) was established. |

1981 The Radio Atmospheric Science Center (RASC) was established from reorganizing and renaming IRL. |

| 1991 The institute was reorganized and expanded into four divisions. |
1996 The Microwave Energy Transmission Laboratory (METLAB) was established. |

| 2011 The Advanced Microwave Energy Transmission Laboratory (A-METLAB) and the Analysis and Development System for Advanced Materials (ADAM) were founded. |
| 2014 The 10th anniversary ceremony was held. “Introduction for Humanosphere Science” was published. |
| 2015 The MU radar was selected as the IEEE milestone. |
| 2016 A new mission statement and Humanosphere Asia Research Node program were introduced. |
| 2016 RISH was approved as a WDS Regular Member. |
| 2020 The 15th Anniversary Symposium (Humanosphere Science Forum Special Symposium) was held. |
| 2020 Humanosphere Science Research Fund “For a Sustainable Future” was founded. |
| 2021 Joint usage of the Cellulosic Advanced Nanomaterials Development Organization (CAN-DO) commenced. |
| 2021 The 20th anniversary ceremony and international symposium of the Equatorial Atmosphere Radar (EAR) was held. |
| 2022 RISH was reorganized and the Center for Future Pioneering Research on the Humanosphere was established. |
