The 355th Humanosphere Symposium “Fire Ant Workshop”

On October 10, 2017, we held the 355th Humanosphere Symposium “Fire Ant Workshop”. Speakers include researchers from the US, Okinawa and RISH, and their talks covered identification, ecology, and control methods of fire ants, along with current situation of fire ant in Japan and Taiwan. We were joined by approximately 160 people including experts aiming at eradicating fire ant in Japan, and considered the workshop a success not only due to an intensive dialogue between the audience and speakers but also numerous positive feedbacks from the audience.
