Joint Usage/Research Center

Updated: 2025/04/22

From National Shared Use to National and International Shared Use, and further to Shared Use and Collaborative Research Hubs

Shared use and collaborative research hubs are the core of our institute. We are promoting new research topics and interdisciplinary emerging and fusion projects through: 1) the shared use of large-scale equipment and facilities, 2) the publication of various databases related to the life-sustaining sphere, and 3) the organization of collaborative research meetings.

Cooperative Studies Using Collaborative Research Facilities
Domestic and international inter-university collaborative programs form the heart of RISH. This department maintains collaborative equipment and facilities and provides a variety of databases on the humanosphere. We also promote collaborative research and symposia to enhance interdisciplinary community.

Collaborative Researches Using Databases
To integrate information on wood samples and digital data for the public we have established the “Virtual Field for the Humanosphere” in the xylarium, which includes PC terminals for database inquiry, an exhibition booth for wood culture, and presentation space for visualizing research results.
