Japanese version is here .

Fukao Laboratory and Tsuda laboratory are parts of Department of Electronic Engineering, Kyoto University. Headed by Professor Shoichiro Fukao and Professor Toshitaka Tsuda . The laboratory specializes in studies of remote sensing technologies and is attempting to explore the unknowns of the earth atmosphere.

At present, most of our researches revolve around the giantic MU Radar and the small versatile Boundary Layer Radar .

It will take some time to explain the basics of Clear Air Radar, one that uses electromagnetic waves to observe the happenings up to hundred kilometer above surface of earth. But some interesting recent research topics include Typhoon 26, which passes near our MU-radar site on the 29 September 1994.
