The 390th Symposium on Sustainable Humanosphere
8th international symposium of collaborative researches in Fukushima since the Great East Japan Earthquake

開催日時 2018-12-11/12

The 6th meeting on the development, operation, and data analysis of radiation mapping system for the nuclear disaster-stricken area

Overview

We have been carrying out various supporting research at Kyoto University after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident in the Grear East Japan eathquake. Our institute also have held meetings for discussion about agricultural topic and about remediation research in Fukushima from 2012. Our meetings are held as Symposium on Sustainable Humanosphere “Cllaborative researches in Fukushima since the Great East Japan Earthquake” for 7 times (6 domestic and 1 international). Totally about 500 participants joined and we had fruitful discussion for supporting Fukushima and for developing sustainable humanosphere.

The Institute for Integrated Radiation and Nuclear Science (KURNS, former the Research Reactor Institute) have been holding interesting research meetings as “The Meeting on the Development, Operation, and Data Analysis of Radiation Mapping System for the Nuclear Disaster-stricken Area”. Kyoto University RAdiation MApping system (KURAMA) was developed by Dr. Tanigaki and they have great research results by using KURAMA. The meeting is for detailed discussion of KURAMA depelopment, operation and monitoring with researchers from university, company and administrative division.

In this year, we hold 8th international symposium of of collaborative researches in Fukushima since the Great East Japan Earthquake (390th Symposium on Sustainable Humanosphere) jointly hosted as “the 6th meeting on the development, operation, and data analysis of radiation mapping system for the nuclear disaster-stricken area”. We have been keeping touch with Fukushima people and researchers with more fruitful discussion.
