目的・内容

生存圏研究所は東南アジア研究所他との共同でグローバル COE プログラム「生存基盤持続型の発展を目指す地域研究拠点」を 2007（平成19）年度より実施中である。生存圏科学の国際的かつ多面的な発展を目的として、昨年度に引き続いて「生存圏科学スクール： 持続的生存圏の構築に向けて」を共同開催した。従来の木質科学に関する講義に加えて、宇宙開発、気象レーダー、アジア・アフリカにおける地域研究等極めて多様な話題提供が特徴となっている。本年度も 17 名の講師を迎え、合計 93 名が参加し 2 日間にわたって活発な議論が交わされた。本研究所、LIPI、グローバル COE プログラム等による国際研究集会の共同開催は、研究協力体制の維持発展に資するところも大であり、今後も継続の予定である。
