目的・内容

大気レーダーに関する最新の科学技術について、研究成果の公表ならびに情報・意見交換することを目的として MST レーダーワークショップ第 11 回会議が 2006 年 12 月 11–15 日にインドで開催された。開会式にはインドの A. P. J. Abdul Kalam 大統領が出席し、1 200 名が参加するなかで大統領による特別講義が行われた。ワークショップは以下の 6 つのセッションにより行われた。(1) Radar scattering processes in the atmosphere, (2) Ionospheric processes, (3) Instrumentation, Technical and signal processing, (4) Meteorology with Atmospheric Radars, (5) Mean winds, radar temperatures, waves, tides (including CAWSES), (6) Atmospheric forcing and mixing (all levels)。総論文数は 320 （口頭 136 件、ポスター 170 件）であった。
