Mesospheric standard observation data by the MU radar (dpl, pwr, wdt and pn)

Description:

The standard observation data in the mesosphere (60-100 km) taken by the MU radar at
Shigaraki in Shiga Prefecture, Japan (34.86N, 136.11E, 385m MSL). Doppler velocity,
spectral width, echo power and noise level data after the screening process are
available now.

Data and file name:

  CSV: (YYYYMMdd).tar.gz
                 including "(YYYYMMdd).(variable)(beam number).csv" files
  NetCDF: (YYYYMMdd).nc
  PNG: (YYYYMMdd)_(variable).png

variable = "pwr", "dpl", "wdt", and "pn"
    dpl: Radial Doppler velocity [m/s]
    pwr: Echo power [dB]
    wdt: Spectral width [m/s]
    pn: Noise level [dB]

 beam_number = 1-5
    Beam 1 (az, ze) = (0, 0)
    Beam 2 (az, ze) = (0, 10)
    Beam 3 (az, ze) = (90, 10)
    Beam 4 (az, ze) = (180, 10)
    Beam 5 (az, ze) = (270, 10)

Details are described in the metadata (CSV, netCDF, PNG)

Data format (CSV data)

1st line: Altitude [km] (Above sea level).
2nd and below lines: Time, data and condition code for each height.

Condition code:

Condition code consists of the one-digit or two-digit number.

  	condition code = screening condition code (0 or 1) x 10
                          + original condition code (0-4)

Screening condition code (the ten's digit) will be 0 if it meets all of the following
four conditions, otherwise it will be 1.

    - Original condition code is less than 4
    - Magnitude of Doppler shift is less than 64.0.
    - Detectability of integrated power spectrum is less than 280.
    - Signal noise ratio (SNR) is more than 0.2.

Original condition code (the one's digit) represents the quality of the fitted data
obtained from the Gauss-Newton least-square method. The difference between original
and fitting data is smaller, the original condition value becomes small.

For png data, we used only the data with the condition code of less than 4
  and plotted.
