In recent Vlasov simulation codes the splitting method is widely used because of its easiness for programming. A low-diffusion interpolation scheme is essential in the Vlasov codes based on the splitting method. In this paper we compared conservative and non-conservative schemes such as the Positive Flux Conservation (PFC) scheme, the Constrained Interpolation Profile (CIP) scheme, and the spline scheme by performing one-dimensional electrostatic Vlasov simulations. |
